The Central Office for International Affairs is responsible for all international matters relating to the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. It runs, among other things, exchange programmes in co-operation with other universities around the world. A significant part of its work is the welcoming and integration of international exchange and scholarship students and researchers (including those funded by foundations, companies or governments), offering advice and support at all stages during their stay in Erlangen or Nuremberg. Furthermore, the Central International Office is responsible for all students planning to study abroad as part of an exchange programme, as well as for university staff wishing to establish or maintain such an exchange.
