Student Advisory Centre and Careers Service (IBZ)
If you are interested in studying at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, your first point of contact will be the Student Advisory Centre and Careers Service (IBZ). The IBZ is responsible for providing advice to students on the courses on offer, choosing a subject area, entry requirements, the application process, planning your studies and examination regulations. The IBZ can help you with any difficulties you might encounter with your course or if you wish to change subject area. The University Careers Service is also located within the Student Advisory Centre and the IBZ is responsible for organizing student assistant jobs at the University.

Central Office for International Affairs
A further point of contact for international students is the Central Office for International Affairs, which can give advice to international students on all non study-related matters. Help is given to new students before and after their arrival in Germany. The Central Office for International Affairs organises informative events for international students and provides support as part of a mentoring programme. Individual advice can also be given to international students on any legal, social and private problems.
