Student Services run a number of student refectories (“Mensen”) all year round in
Erlangen and Nuremberg. During the teaching periods they are open from Monday to Friday
11:30 a.m.– 2:00 p.m. serving a variety of meals. Between semesters, the opening hours are
slightly shorter (usually by about half an hour). Please note that the cafeterias and refectories
are not open in the evenings. Meals are available at lunchtime only. Menus, photographs and

Payments are made with FAUcard, FAU's new multifunctional chip card. It will be send to students appr. one week after entroling at FAU. The card can be loaded with cash at machines located at the refectories.
