• RU 661: Multimodality Imaging in Pre-clinical Research

  The group's members research computer tomography and small animal imaging.
  
  

• RU 702: Machine, tool and process development for new manufacturing procedures for micro components through liquid phases.

  Research Unit 702 has set itself the goal of developing manufacturing techniques for the production of micro-products made of plastic, metal and ceramics using a liquid phase of the desired material. The research group is to investigate process concepts for the production of micro-products, these concepts are particularly promising from a micro-specific perspective and indeed new in the field of micro engineering.
  
  

• RU 832: Regulators of Humoral Immunity

  Molecular circuits, which are involved in controlling and regulating the B lymphocytes that produce antibodies, are being researched as part of eight separate projects. One of the research group's focuses is the production of new mouse lines for B cell immunology.
  
  

• RU 894: Fluid dynamical fundamentals of human voice production

  The interdisciplinary work going on within the research group is designed to facilitate work on the complex issue of the "physiology of voice formation" in a holistic manner, and bring together basic medical, physical and technical research as part of a cooperative project.
  
  

• RU 1228: Molecular Pathogenesis of Myofibrillar Myopathies

  This Research Unit, which is driven by distinguished groups from eight different universities, will specifically analyse the pathogenesis of myofibrillar myopathies. This work will be the basis for novel targeted treatment approaches for this significant cohort of hereditary myopathies.
  
  

• RU 1234: iBeetle: Functional Genomics of Insect Development and Metamorphosis

  "iBeetle screen" intends to overcome the currently prevailing, candidate gene approach in arthropods outside of Drosophila, and aim at further transforming Tribolium into a powerful primary model system suited for basic research in insect development, evolution, physiology, and pest control.
