Application for a Master`s degree programme at FAU

You intend to apply for a Master`s degree programme at our University. A good choice! We are glad about your interest and heartily welcome you. At the moment you can choose between Master`s degree programmes in more than 60 fields of study. We are also continuously extending our Master`s degree programmes

The new Master`s degree programmes "Materialphysik (MSC)" and "Integrated Life Sciences (ILS)"  have been introduced by the School of Sciences.

There are also new Master’s degree programmes on a part-time basis, starting in winter semester 2012/13.Further information is available on: www.uni-erlangen.de/studium/zulassung/Teilzeitmaster.pdf (pdf)

Please observe: The Master’s degree programme “Psychlogie (MSc)”will be subject to restricted admission (Numerus clausus) provided the committees responsible will give approval to restriced admission. Prospective students please observe the two most important deadlines:

  • The application deadline (online application and submission of all required documents) will end on 1st August 2012.
  • The deadline for submission of your first academic degree will end on 15th September 2012.

Up to this time, applicants must prove that they have completely finished their first academic degree. We also accept a graded confirmation of graduation issued by your university .You do not yet have to submit the official certificate of the first academic degree unless it has already been issued by your university.

At the moment an online application for the Master’s degree programme “Psychologie (MSc)is not possible. We will open the online application for “Psychologie (MSc)” at a later date, probably not before the beginning of June 2012.

New  and interesting: The two Masters degree programmes, Physik and Materialphysik, are offered both in English and German. The possibility to complete the study course in both languages is guaranteed. Either of the two optional subjects can be selected, but lectures in one of the two  is compulsory and held either in English or German.  If necessary, there will be two groups with regard to exercises and practical training. Students can choose whether they want to pass their exams in English or German, written tests will be offered in both languages. Online Application

If you want to apply online, this is the right place for you to start. We have instructed a well-experienced software company to develop a programme with which you can enter your data easily and without any risks. This programme will be carried out by QS unisolution in Stuttgart on behalf of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Documents which are necessary for the application can be uploaded in the online application form. The upload area was implemented on the request of the Master's degree programmes. The uploading of documents is optional. If you skip the upload area, this will not affect any features of the online application portal. Please observe: The uploading of documents is compulsory if you want to apply for the Master’s degree programmes Marketing or Management. An instruction for creating and uploading of necessary files can be found here. The programme is called move in and this can be taken literally. If you click on the link move in, you will be automatically directed from the website of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg to the website of move in at QS unisolution in Stuttgart. Good luck!
