Getting your career started with FAU

Beratungssituation

Starting out into professional life requires a lot of planning. How do I apply for a job? What really counts in professional life? How do I find a placement, a temporary job and my first  job? FAU's Career Service is the first place of contact for guidance in answering these questions. From their first semester, FAU students and graduates can turn to the Career Service for individual counselling and advice on all questions related to their planned career and preparing for their first job. Seminars and lectures organised by the Career Service can help you to acquire skills for finding a job after graduation. You can also get in touch with potential employers at job fairs and information events. The Career Service's  Jobs Website lists offers for internships, temporary jobs, final theses and trainee positions. Advice on your application portfolio and simulated job interviews in German and English offered by the Career Service can help you to ensure that you are perfectly prepared when contacting your future employer for the first time. Regular career meetings between students and alumni allow for direct exchange and provide interesting insights on what truly counts in professional life.
