The Studentenwerk provides places in and administers the halls of residence (Wohnheime) in Erlangen and Nuremberg and can also assist students in finding private accommodation. Their website contains a wealth of information on accommodation-related matters. Application forms can be downloaded from their website. Exchange and Scholarship Students please click here.
The Studentenwerk is also responsible for the various refectories and cafeterias (Mensen), and provides a number of advisory and counselling services for students. Free legal advice is available to registered students with legal problems related to their studies at university; the counselling service provides confidential help for students experiencing difficulties with their studies and exams, as well as those with social and psychological problems.
At the travel office students can book flights and make other travel arrangements for both study and recreational purposes, taking advantage of special student offers. The International Student identity card (ISIC) can also be purchased here.
